The BASDELL Business Writing Model – a Self Study Course
Business documents are written for a reason: to convey information, cause something to happen, influence a decision or win business. All too often key messages are difficult to interpret because documents are badly structured and too wordy. One way to make the writing process easier and ensure you communicate your message effectively is to use a tried and tested model.
The BASDELL Business Writing Model was developed by Janet Basdell, founder and Managing Director of Plain Words Limited. It’s easy to remember and you can apply it to any business document from an email to a lengthy report, business case or bid. In this course, we present the meaning of the model and how you can apply it to your own work.
At the end of the course you’ll be able to download a document that summarises the Model. It will be a useful aide memoire when writing your own documents.
