John Williams – Trainer

John is a technical author and a trainer. During his 25 years’ experience as an author, he has worked with a variety of large companies, small businesses, government agencies and start-ups.
He has written user guides, help systems, company brochures, flyers, newsletters, policies, procedures and websites. In fact, he's probably had a go at writing just about every type of business document.
John developed and presented the first ever Plain Words training course – a report writing course for a world-renowned software company. Building on the success of that course, John is now a regular Plain Words trainer. He has recently delivered training courses for universities, government agencies, companies and charities.
John is also an experienced games tester, software developer and manager.
John says, “live training should be lively – people learn better when they are totally engaged and enjoying themselves”.
In his spare time, John enjoys walking and cycling. He has a degree in maths and is a Fellow of the Institute for Scientific and Technical Communicators (FISTC).
